With the sea and the Ile de Ré as a backdrop, we will explore mixed media techniques, particularly around the mix of paper and fabric. Different medium such as ink, fabric paint/dye, pastels and paint will also be included in our research. A series of exercises will help you to develop your composition techniques for this sort of work. As the week goes on you will develop your own surfaces, which may include print as well as other techniques to incorporate into your contemporary mixed media textiles.
